by Lauri Sturdivant

Artwork by Eve Syrkin Wurtele

Eve Syrkin Wurtele is one of three Ashland, Oregon artists who will be showing her work in the upcoming New Visions exhibition at the Siskiyou Arts Museum (SAM). Artists reception for Leif Trygg, Eve Syrkin Wurtele and Desmond Serratore coincide with Dunsmuir 2nd Saturday April 8, 2025 from 4-7 pm.  Eve uses traditional pencil, oil pastel, watercolor and gouache for her landscapes and figures.

Despite the limited senses and intelligence through which humans experience nature, we are able to represent our universe in multiple ways with only simple materials.  I explore the world using visual representations and molecular research.”
