Opening Reception: Saturday, May 11th, 4—7pm

Show Runs May 11th—July 6th

UNSATURATED is the title of an exciting invitational exhibit of black and white photography opening at the Siskiyou Arts Museum on Saturday, May 11, 2024. Several local and out of town photographers were invited to participate, and a group of 17 motivated and talented photographers are looking forward to sharing images they’ve specially chosen for this exhibition. “We all agreed that the show should be very diverse,” says show curator and participant, Cynthia Henderson. “Various subjects such as landscapes, portraits, architecture, street scenes and abstract images will be represented, and some participants will be exploring a particular theme with their work.”

Participants: Anastasia Nelson (Corning CA), Bob Swanson (Weed CA), Cynthia Henderson (Mt. Shasta CA), Derek Maybee (Yreka CA), Don Hasemeyer (Scott Valley CA), Edwin Vasquez (Los Angeles CA), Gloria Olson (Mt. Shasta CA), Heinz Danzberger (Mt. Shasta CA), Kristen Calvert (Hayward CA), Loki Boone (Dunsmuir CA), Patty Hood (Mt. Shasta CA), Paula Palmer (Dunsmuir CA), Phil Dynan (Corning CA), Robert Renick (Mt. Shasta CA), Shareen Strauss (McCloud CA), Susan Edwards (UK), Wayne Kessler (Mt. Shasta CA).

Join us in the museum space on Saturday, May 11th. SAM’s doors open at noon; the opening reception is from 4 to 7pm. Around 5:30, a few participants will give brief talks about their work, and one of the participants plans to create a video of the event.
